Why Are You Looking for a Special Needs Dentist Near You?

I or A Loved One Needs Accommodating Care

Dr. Ford and the rest of our team are uniquely qualified to provide accommodating dental care for those with special needs. Along with our highly experienced dentists, we have seven dedicated anesthesiologists on staff, and Dr. Ford himself is certified in providing multiple types of dental sedation. Our office and treatment rooms are wheelchair accessible, and we maintain a cozy environment with a warm atmosphere and various comfort amenities. Rest assured, each of our compassionate professionals has a gentle touch and knows not to rush through appointments. For over 14 years, we’ve been providing personalized dental treatment to patients with a variety of special needs, so no matter what you or your loved one’s situation is, we’ll make sure you get the care you need!

I Need a Checkup & Cleaning

No problem! Each of our treatment rooms is equipped to accommodate wheelchairs, and we’re happy to provide numbing agents, dental sedation, or anesthesia for patients who find dental care uncomfortable or overwhelming. We generally recommend scheduling a checkup and cleaning appointment every six months, though some benefit from more frequent visits. Our team will take your unique needs into consideration and work with you closely to make sure you’re well taken care of!

I Have a Cavity or Broken Tooth

Typically, we treat cavities with tooth-colored fillings and address broken pearly whites with porcelain-fused-to-metal or zirconia crowns. Each option can be color-matched to blend in seamlessly with your smile. You’ll hardly be able to tell the difference between your natural tooth structure and the inorganic restoration!

I Am Missing One Or More Teeth

Missing teeth can take a toll on both your oral health and mental health. To help restore your chewing ability and confidence, we’ll craft a fully customized, beautiful dental bridge, full denture, or partial denture. Your dentist near Southlake will be able to tell you which option will be best for your smile during your consultation, but generally speaking, bridges work best for those with one or more missing teeth in a row, full dentures replace an entire arch of teeth, and partial dentures fill in gaps that are scattered throughout your dental lineup.

I Have a Dental Issue

If you’re experiencing a toothache, have a chipped or cracked tooth, lost a filling or crown, or otherwise need prompt dental care, please give us a call as soon as possible! While it may take some time to coordinate our team and prepare your accommodations, we’ll see you as soon as possible. Depending on your unique dental emergency, treatment may involve root canal therapy, tooth extraction, or restorative services like crowns and fillings. Rest assured, we’ll make sure you feel comfortable throughout your appointment.

I Am Afraid of the Dentist

We completely understand! Whether it be due to sensory sensitivities, medical conditions, or bad past experiences, many patients are afraid to make appointments with a dentist, even when they know they need care. We’re dedicated to helping each and every patient have a positive experience in our office, and are happy to provide a number of accommodations, including dental sedation and general anesthesia. Please don’t hesitate to tell anyone on our team about any special needs or fears you may have. After all, accommodating dental care is our focus here at Disability Dental Services!
