Get to Know Adria Santiago, DDS

Dr. Santiago is the newest welcome addition to our team at Disability Dental Services. A recent graduate from Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas, Dr. Santiago enjoys practicing dentistry because she’s able to make a real difference in her patients’ lives by providing high-quality care. She also takes a relationship-based approach to dentistry and enjoys building trust with her patients as well as their guardians, parents, and caregivers. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Santiago first discovered her passion for dentistry about 10 years ago, when she started working as a dental assistant. She was immediately drawn to the way dentistry combines art, science, and compassion to help improve patients’ lives and health.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Santiago completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Texas and is a recent graduate of Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and license to practice dentistry. She also has her certification to provide Level 1 sedation.

Dr. Santiago has hands-on clinical experience providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, including restorative, preventive, prosthodontics, endodontic, and certain surgical procedures. She also remains an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Texas Dental Association.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Originally from Fort Worth, Dr. Santiago is a proud single mother to a wonderful daughter who just started high school! She also has two dogs that she loves to snuggle. Her family is her biggest motivation; they’re close-knit, supportive of each other, and deeply value being able to spend quality time together.

An interesting fact about Dr. Santiago is that she’s half Peruvian and half Puerto Rican! Whenever she isn’t at the dental office, you can find her reading, playing piano, weightlifting, paddle boarding on the lake, or having a movie night with her family!
